Know Your Roots:
Youth-Centered Leadership Program

Know Your Roots

Youth ages 13-18 are invited to join us for an opportunity to explore your identity, build healthier relationships, and learn about root causes of violence in
the API community. Know Your Roots (KYR) is a cohort style program that promotes peer learning and social connection. Youth who complete Know Your Roots will have the chance to develop their own social impact initiative and receive mentorship through our Rooted Leadership Project Program. Please email prevention@cpaf.info to check on the status of the next KYR cohort!

Rooted Leadership Project

Youth who have completed Know Your Roots or a similar foundational program are invited to apply for the Rooted Leadership Project (RLP). Participants will design, implement, and evaluate a project that promotes nonviolence in the API community. RLP leaders will be paired with experienced mentors who will support them in the process of developing their projects, implementing a community assessment, and creating recommendations.

Both Know Your Roots and Rooted Leadership Project programs are eligible for high school volunteer hours. CPAF will also provide each RLP participant with a personalized letter of recognition from our Executive Director and opportunities
to continue advocating for nonviolence in our communities!

Please email prevention@cpaf.info to check on the status of the next RLP cohort!
