Announcing CPAF's new Executive Director!

Dear Friends of CPAF,

After a nine-month executive search and interview process, we are pleased to announce Center for the Pacific Asian Family’s Executive Transition Committee and Board of Directors have named Patima Komolamit as our new Executive Director, starting on June 20. Ms. Komolamit’s collective 25 years in the field working with government and philanthropic leaders, local communities, and clients, will help shape CPAF’s next exciting chapter.

Patima Komolamit is a Thai American woman dedicated to addressing violence against women and children to build a more healthy and equitable society. She joined CPAF as a Family Advocate in 2007 and has been leading the largest team at CPAF as the Shelter Program Director since 2016. Prior to joining CPAF, she worked for nonprofit organizations in Nepal and California.

Ms. Komolamit is a fierce advocate of domestic and sexual violence survivors, serving as a member of the California State Advisory Committee on Sexual Assault Victim Services, and co-chair of the Housing and Economic Development Committee of the Asian American Pacific Islander Equity Alliance. She also served as board member of LA County’s Domestic Violence Council and co-chair of the LA County Domestic Violence Shelter Committee (2017-2020); and south regional representative of the Sexual Assault Program Services Committee of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CalCASA, now ValorUS) (2015-2019).

Patima Komolamit has shared that she is grateful for the chance to work with such powerful, inspiring people who have been affected by violence and looks forward to continuing to build capacity within CPAF and the community to effectively address the important issues facing survivors today.

Thank you to our community for your ongoing support! We are excited for CPAF’s future with Patima at the helm.

Sincerely,

Mamie Funahashi
