Community Program (Summer) Internship - Direct Service

Start Date
June 2021 - August 2021 (minimum 8-10 week commitment)
HOURS
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (16-24 hours/week Monday-Friday)
Summary
Join CPAF for the summer and work with our Community Programs team to respond to domestic & sexual violence by answering helpline calls and by working with survivors to pursue healing & reduce stigma.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with tabling (virtual) events, community outreach & presentations to raise awareness about CPAF services
Support CPAF’s 24/7 helpline during office hours
Learn art-based emotional regulation strategies
Receive training to provide supportive services and trauma-informed care to individuals in the community
Qualifications
All interns are required to complete the state mandated training for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. This 65-hour training will be provided by CPAF and will begin in May 2021.
Current Bachelor or Master’s Degree candidates
Asian or Pacific Islander language skills desired but not required
