Giving #UnitedThroughLove

CPAF welcomes this season with shelter celebrations, holiday preparations, and end-of-year giving. Read about all the updates and how you can get involved!

CPAF Shelters Celebrate Fall

Each October CPAF’s Transitional Shelter – North (TS-N) plans and organizes a trip for families to visit the pumpkin patch. This year, four families participated, including a 3-year-old girl whose excitement being there for the first time showed as she ran around and pointed to things. The children enjoyed face painting, a bouncy air house, petting zoo, and decorating pumpkins. The children showed off their unicorn and butterfly face paintings to staff and the other TS-N families. Each year, visiting the pumpkin patch gives families an opportunity to bond with one another and have a great time with each other. CPAF’s Transitional Shelter – South celebrated Thanksgiving with a community potluck. Shelter residents contributed ideas for dishes. One of the shelter residents looked forward to contributing her own unique pozole recipe and CPAF staff accompanied her to the market to buy the ingredients. Together a varied, inclusive, and international feast was created!

Bringing Holiday Cheer

We thank the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce for donating toys, including stuffed animals and tote bags to CPAF. The toys will be distributed to families during CPAF’s shelter holiday parties. We appreciate the continued partnership with the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce and their support in making this time of year special for CPAF families!

Year-End Giving Campaign

As we reach the end of the year, we want to share our gratitude for your support in 2023. Without your generosity, we would be unable to fully meet survivors' needs in establishing safe and independent lives. Your donations go toward helping families connect to education and employment opportunities to build financial stability, as well as access to transportation.

Through our #UnitedThroughLove Year-End Campaign we have a goal of raising $10,000. Create your own campaign page to share with friends and family and/or donate directly at: cpaf.me/give2023.
