Annual Benefit 2020

Let us unite and strengthen our passion and mission to end violence.

Thank you for your interest in CPAF’s 42nd Annual Benefit. Due to COVID-19, we won’t be holding our traditional in-person event. But you can still support CPAF so that we can continue to raise much-needed unrestricted funding for our mission to end domestic violence and sexual assault within Asian Pacific Islander communities.

Why is supporting cpaf’s work critical during covid-19?

While social distancing is important for slowing the spread of disease, we know that at times of economic downturn and isolation, incidents of domestic violence and other abuses increase.

As an essential agency during the COVID-19 pandemic, CPAF continues to work around the clock to support survivors with emergency and transitional shelter, as well as counseling, prevention, and other services.

  • We are a proud partner in the City of Los Angeles' Project Safe Haven, which was established during the pandemic to place survivors in temporary housing when shelters are at capacity.

  • Our multi-lingual hotline advocates and volunteers are providing crisis intervention to survivors and helping to connect them to other critical services.

  • Our engagement with youth and community members has moved to virtual spaces, with in-language targeted outreach and online forums to build leadership development for violence prevention.

We invite you to join us in our campaign to end domestic and family violence.

Additional ways to unite against violence

Join us on Sunday, December 6 for a cooking lesson from Justin Foronda of HiFi Kitchen to learn how to make Filipino la’ing and support our mission to end violence.

For ingredients, cocktails and dessert, buy your tickets by December 3.

United Against Violence 2020

For many survivors, our helpline is their entryway to all the services we provide for them, which is why our goal for 2020 is to make our helpline more accessible by adding a text or chatline.

We recognize that texting is a safer option for survivors, many of whom are young and non-English speaking API women experiencing domestic or sexual violence. But to expand our helpline, we need your support. Donate or become a sponsor for our Annual Benefit.
