Raising Awareness #UnitedThroughLove

Whether it is through wellness, a jewelry sale, wearing purple, or celebrating with families, CPAF shares creative ways to raise awareness about domestic violence and build healthy communities.

Youth-Led Wellness Activity

Recently, CPAF’s monthly Greenhouse virtual space for youth empowerment was led by fellow participant, Kaile. She guided the group through reflection questions and a grounding and mindfulness exercise. Below, we share some of the slides she created to practice on your own. Thank you, Kaile, for helping us take a moment for ourselves and focus on self-care.

Please contact Nora at nora.fujita-yuhas@cpaf.info for more information about our monthly Greenhouse sessions offered to youth ages 13-18.

Shelter Halloween Party

CPAF Emergency Shelter families had a great time at this year’s Halloween Party. The younger children enjoyed trying on the different face masks and chasing each other, while the older children had fun playing games and watching Hocus Pocus 2. CPAF supports families in renewing their relationships and creating healthy ways to connect with each other.

DVAM

CPAF staff honored Purple Thursday on October 20th, a day of action during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Purple signifies strength and hope. On this day, participants show solidarity by wearing purple, helping to raise awareness about domestic violence and spark conversations regarding healthy relationships.

November begins our #UnitedThroughLove Year-End Giving campaign. Keep an eye out in your inboxes as we officially launch the campaign next month!
